This time Allhorror has prepared some awesome Horror Remakes… We all know and understand that remakes tend to ruin a perfectly good original and even thou that may be the case for 80% of the film industry there are some shiny examples that prove us wrong.

1. Dawn of the Walking Dead (2004)

A logical first pick and one of our top recommendations when it comes to apocalypse type of horror films. This Zombie horror from Zack Snyder revolves around a group of survivals stuck at a shopping mall surrounded by the undead. Many fans of horror even state that it tops the 1978 original. Either way, if you have not seen it yet we guarantee you will enjoy.

If by any chance you are already familiar with both original and this remake we suggest you watch a horror short about a fictional character from the film - The Lost Tape: Andy's Terrifying Last Days Revealed.  It’s filmed as a death footage video found by a group of survivors in the aftermath of the apocalypse…

2. Evil Dead (2013)

Remember the 80’s and Bruce Campbell. The 1981 original and 1987 sequel are still my favorite Cabin in the Woods Demon horror films. Still, back in 2013 we got a darker version of the film. I like them all but since I trust most of you watched both films from the 80’s there is a chance you will be pleasantly surprised by this remake. It also has one of the best horror movie opening scenes. Don’t believe me, have a look and you be the judge…

 3. The Crazies (2010)

The 1973 original from George Romero was for some strange reason a box office failure. The good thing is that back it 2010 we got a remake of this cult classic gem and it stands out as one of better rated remakes. A bioweapon “Trixie” starts infecting the unaware people of a local town through the infected water source. As soon as the people start getting affected by uncontrolled bursts of rage and violence military intervenes in order to stop the spreading of the disease. Soon all hell breaks loose and with no real solution the government turns to a clean swipe – yes a Nuke…

I know what you think – with a name like Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015) this can’t be good. But if I learned anything from watching hundreds and hundreds of horrors is that you should never judge the movie by the title. If you do that you might miss all the fun with films like Sharknado, Zombeavers, Sharktopus… Have fun! If you are planning a movie night with friends any one of these will do great.
