Wicked Weekend Vol 7

The 4th of July is coming and if you were planning to watch a horror film this weekend here are some of our top recommendations.

1. The Return of the Living Dead (1985)

This zombie horror from the 80’s is a perfect pick for this weekend. It’s campy, gory, funny and full of action. Like I said, it’s from the 80’s!

When a bumbling pair of employees at a medical supply warehouse accidentally release a deadly gas into the air, the vapors cause the dead to re-animate as they go on a rampage seeking their favorite food: brains!

2. The Bay (2012)

This one is for fans of conspiracy theories and found footage horror and is promoted on several lists here on our website: Top 10 Indie Horrors and Horrors that cause dipsophobia (fear of drinking). The Bay unfolds over 24 hours through people's iPhones, Androids, 911 calls, webcams, and whatever else could be used to document the nightmare in a small seaside town of Claridge during the 4th of July crab festival.

3. The Evil in Us (2016)

Not many people have watched this horror so I dare to say it is a hidden gem. It passed under my radar and I only watched it recently. I deeply encourage you to give this one a chance!

While on a fourth of July holiday, six best friends fall victim to the insidious plan of a terrorist organization when they unknowingly take a bio-active drug that transforms them into bloodthirsty cannibals.

Now we come to our top pick and of course it is one that best fits the occasion. Uncle Sam (1997) has it all. An awesome campy B Horror comedy that is perfect for a movie night with friends. Be prepared to enjoy this timeless back from the dead slasher!

Hope you enjoy and have a great Weekend!
