Friday is here and so is our new list of horror recommendations for this weekend. We all know religion is often used as inspiration in many horror movies and this is something that we can probably discuss more thoroughly (new culture post coming soon)… but while we wait, please review our top picks for this week!

1. The Conjuring (2013)

If you haven’t seen this one yet, we encourage giving it a go. It has everything a great horror needs and any fan of possessions and demons will love it. On the other hand, many of horror fans have already seen it so we suggest watching the sequel or maybe check on our list of similar films.

2. Rosemary's Baby (1968)

This 1968 hit from Roman Polanski gives us a chilling story of a pregnant woman whose life turns upside down when a scary satanic cult picks her to be the vessel for the antichrist. This film is rated high on many of our lists and can be watched multiple times but if you watched it recently and just want to enjoy something similar please check movies like Rosemary’s Baby.

3. The Devil's Candy (2017)

Our third pick for you is a supernatural possession horror about a father and working artist who becomes a marionette for the devil. For more details feel free to read our review and if you have by any chance already watched and you liked what you saw, please check our list of films similar to Devil’s Candy.

As ususal, we also prepared one horror that is set more on the fun side for those who were planning on enjoying a gory horror comedy with their friends over the weekend. Here is The Babysitter (2017)! Before you decide to watch, you can check our review for more details.
