The suggestion of a big treasure hidden somewhere inside Mrs Jessel's once renowned classical dance academy will become an irresistible lure to a fiendish trap for Lucie and her friends.
In Livid, Lucie gets a job as an in-home nursing assistant. She learns from her boss Catherine throughout the day. Eventually, Lucie is taken to the home of a highly wealthy woman named Jessel, who was once a renowned ballet teacher but is now bedridden and unresponsive. Jessel's daughter died young, leaving her all alone. Catherine mentions a rumor that an immense treasure is hidden somewhere in Jessel's mansion.
Lucie mentions Jessel's valuable cache to her boyfriend, an ex-convict named William. William and his best friend Ben want to burglarize and take the treasure. Lucie is at first against their plan but eventually decides to go along with them as long as they only take what they need to improve their lives. The group leaves on Halloween night and enters the mansion.
The house is full of dead animals and creepy robots. Eventually, they find the dead body of a teenage girl Lucie deduces is Jessel's daughter Anna. The body of Anna has been modified to dance like a dancer when the machine it is suspended in is activated. As the three look at the grotesque body of Anna, they hear Jessel wake up, and all the doors and windows close and lock. There are otherworldly occurrences. As the three attempts to find an exit, Ben is sent to a hidden laboratory where small dance students slit his throat. William is later attacked by Ben's corpse and killed when Jessel comes forward, tears off his scalp, and drinks his blood.
Jessel gave Lucie a vision of the past, revealing that he and Anna are vampires who keep their victims trapped in the house. Lucie fled to where Anna's body was and discovered that she was still alive, though paralyzed. Anna gives Lucie a vision of the past, wherein Lucie sees that Jessel abused Anna to make her a great dancer. Jessel accidentally breaks Anna's back during a dance session. One of Jessel's other dance students, who turns out to be Catherine, assists Jessel in turning Anna's body into a living doll. After the vision ends, Lucie is attacked and knocked out by Catherine. It turns out that Catherine still works for Jessel, supplying the vampire with blood and luring unsuspecting people into the mansion.
Lucie wakes up to find herself strapped to an operating table in a secret laboratory next to her body of Anna. Jessel and Catherine are performing a ritual that will transfer Anna's soul into Lucie's healthy human body and Lucie's soul into Anna's broken vampire body. After getting her daughter back, Jessel demands that Anna dance for her. Instead, Anna kills Catherine and knocks out Jessel. She then goes to the laboratory and lets Lucie drink some of her blood. The two girls are attacked by Jessel, who has been resurrected. They throw her over a railing, where she falls several floors to her death. The survivors open the front door, only to find the house in Limbo.
The house realigns with the Earth's plane at daybreak, and the girls leave. They stroll to a cliff edge that overlooks the ocean. Eventually, Anna can depart her home and experience a typical life in Lucie's human body. Meanwhile, Lucie (in Anna's body) exposes herself to the sun. Instead of destroying Lucie, the sun causes her to levitate, and she begins flying across the ocean.
