It's about a small wild west mining community who have to fight off a gang of Graboids.

Tremors 4: The Legend Begins was directed by S. S. Wilson (who also directed Tremors 4: The Legend Begins) and stars Michael Gross (from Tremors: A Cold Day In Hell), Sara Botsford (from The Fog and Murder By Phone) and Billy Drago (from Children Of The Corn: Genesis and Dark Moon Rising).

A Revolution Has Begun...

Tremors 4: The Legend Begins Review

Tremors 4 is a prequel to the original Tremors. Tremors took place in 1989 and this one in 1889. All of the characters in this one are carbon copies of the original characters, except for Burt. The Burt we know is an ultra confident military man with gun fever. This Burt is a fancy rich guy from New York who is ultra hoity-toity and embarrassingly inept.

The town we all know from Tremors Perfection, Nevada. This time it's Rejection, because funny? The town grocery store, Chang's, is still there but being run by the uncle of Jodi, the woman who ran it in the original Tremors.

The movie is about the town's efforts to find and kill the creatures (which they call "Dirt Dragons") that are killing off miners in the local silver mine. If they can't the town is going to close and everybody will lose everything. That's the storyline, the actual movie is basically the same as Tremors 3.

Tremors 4 The Legend Begins, has a decent story and fun characters as usual, but very little action. The build-up is painfully slow. I'd go as far to call it a slow burn, strange for a creature feature. And it has a very whimsical and silly feel, like a Made for TV movie.

And that's all there really is to say about it. It's slow and it's recycled. It's my least favorite Tremors by far.

Worth Watching?

I personally don't think so unless you're looking for a Made for TV western that just happens to have sand worms popping up every now and again.
