It's about a guy who moves to Italy and falls for girl who turns out to be a shapeshifter.
Spring was directed by Aaron Moorhead (who also directed Resolution) and Justin Benson (who also directed The Endless); and stars Lou Taylor Pucci (from Evil Dead), Nick Nevern (from Outpost: Black Sun) and Nadia Hilker.
Love is a monster.
I had seen Spring floating around for quite awhile before deciding to give it a try. I could tell by the screenshots and the plot summary that it was going to be more romance than horror. But after watching Resolution and The Endless, both incredible movies by the same directors as Spring, I decided to give it a go.
Was it as I expected? Unfortunately yes. It was basically 90 minutes of romance, 5 mins of horror and then another 15 or 20 of romance. The End.
Aside from being a non-horror, the cinematography and editing were incredible. It was a visually beautiful film, just not a very exciting one.
