It's about Chucky and Tiffany's weird androgynous British doll kid adjusting to life in Hollywood with serial killing parents.

Seed of Chucky was directed by Don Mancini (who also directed Curse Of Chucky) and stars Brad Dourif (from Herbert West: Reanimator and Wildling), Jennifer Tilly (from Cult Of Chucky) and Billy Boyd (from Urban Ghost Story).

Seed of Chucky Review

Seed of Chucky, it's a near universally loathed movie about two dolls banging and birthing a doll kid. This is where the iconic Child's Play franchise has brought us. It feels like a lifetime ago that Charles Lee Ray was chasing Andy around trying to get back into human form. It feels like forever since Chucky was serious. The last time was actually 13 years prior to the release of Seed when Child's Play 3 came out.

Seed of Chucky starts off like a serious slasher, but it's a short-lived dream sequence that ends way too soon. Later on we see Chucky and Tiffany hacking up some schmuck, offering some new hope that this may be a fun movie. But that turns out to be fake too. It's all a scene from some movie that's being filmed called "Chucky Goes Psycho". This fake movie features the real Jennifer Tilly, the actress who played Tiffany in Bride of Chucky. So if the concept of this movie wasn't strange enough, now it's also meta.

"I don't have a 'problem' with killing."

So, Chucky and Tiffany's doll kid, Glen/Glenda, was apparently born in England so he's British for some reason. He's also a fragile gentle wimpy kid, so not like Chucky or Tiffany at all. He catches wind of the Chucky Goes Psycho movie and catches a plane to Hollywood where he accidentally casts a voodoo spell that brings Chucky and Tiffany back to life. The moment they're back they continue killing and the kid can't stop pissing his pants, literally, it's all very bizarre. So to get him to stop pissing his pants they try to stop killing.

Yeah. This is a movie about Chucky not killing. It's about Jennifer Tilly playing Tiffany even though Tiffany is still in the doll Tiffany. And it's about both Chucky and doll Tiffany trying to be good role models for their weird androgynous wimpy doll kid. WTF.

"This is nuts! And I have a very high tolerance for nuts!"

Seed of Chucky caps off the only two pure comedies in the Child's Play franchise. It had a few funny moments and a few Child's Play-esque scenes, but overall it's a weird misfit island in the series. Some people like it, most people don't, I hated it. Looking forward to getting back to the real Chuck in the next movie, Curse of Chucky.

"As a doll, I'm fucking infamous!"

Worth Watching?

No way, this movie blows wimpy androgynous doll balls.
