It's about a girl living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland who leaves the safety of her village to seek out a guy she met on the internet.

Pulse 3 was directed by Joel Soisson (who also directed Children Of The Corn: Genesis and The Prophecy: Forsaken) and stars Karley Scott Collins (from The Collector and Pulse 3), Rider Strong (from Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever and Borderland) and Brittany Finamore (from Forget Me Not).

Pulse 3 Review

Pulse 3 follows Justine, the little girl from Pulse 2, now a teenager living in a small village of apocalypse survivors. Every kind of internet device is banned from the village since the ghosts that rekked the world travel through WiFi. One day Justine finds an old laptop stashed in an old broken down car that just so happens to still work. She boots it up and immediately a chat window opens up with a guy wanting to know her A/S/L. She starts chatting, eventually developing a crush on him and sets out to live her own life with her new internet boyfriend. Pulse 3 is about her journey through a ghost ridden world to meet up with her new mystery man.

When I sat down to watch Pulse 2 I was really hoping for a cheesy fun B-horror. What I got was a cheesy B-drama wannabe horror. It could have been fun, but they decided to try to make it serious. So now when I sat down now for Pulse 3 I REALLY wanted some cheesy B-horror fun. But, unfortunately this one tried to go the serious route too. It tried so hard to be "scary" and failed so hard at it. It was embarrassing really.

One thing about it that was cool was a character named Zeigler. Zeigler was in the first Pulse, he played a computer hacker who figured out how the ghosts communicated and how they got into our realm. He wrote a virus that was supposed to be able to close the ghost portal, but never got a chance to use it. In Pulse 2 Zeigler was the guy draped in red who forced Justine's dad to steal a very specific electrical device for him. And Zeigler's back in Pulse 3, he uses the device to create something that would allow him to deploy his virus. He also kidnaps Justine and becomes the baddie.

Overall this movie was the worst. It's a generic recycling of every horror movie you've ever seen that looks like it was made on a budget of $20 and a six pack of beer.

Worth Watching?

Unless you felt the need to watch through the series like I did, no way.
