Lifechanger was directed by Justin Mcconnell and stars Lora Burke , Jack Foley and Bill Oberst Jr. (from Ayla , The Chair , Scream at the Devil , Hunting Grounds , The Den). It's about a guy who has to claim people's lives just to stay alive.

It will drain the life out of you

Lifechanger Review

Lifechanger is one of the most intense and original shapeshifting moviesI've seen. From the very first scene it grabs you by the face anddemands your full attention. And the second scene is no less intense.

It's like Fallen in concept, where a being can jump from body to bodyat-will, only the transfers are way more brutal. In Fallen it only tooka tap on the shoulder. In Lifechanger it involves rotting flesh, soulsucking and corpse dumping.

One thing that jumped out at me from this film, other than the sheerintensity, was the captivating cinematography. It's a visually stunning film. This was supported by the effective score, the impressive practical effects, the script and by the strong acting. Everything in this movie just works.

There are some pacing issues that develop around the hour mark whichslow everything down. A full-blown romance blossoms unexpectedly, andalthough it has a purpose, it does pull the movie away from the horrorgenre for awhile.

But overall, Lifechanger is a super intense and gory body horror thatI'll be adding to my permanent collection. This is one of those moviesyou have to watch at least twice.

Worth Watching?

Definitely. It's a solid body horror that pulls you in from the verystart and treats you to mounting dread throughout.
