It's about the leprechaun in Las Vegas looking for his gold, a bloody good time that never gets old.

Leprechaun 3 was directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith (who also directed Dead End Drive-In, Out of the Body, Night of the Demons 2 and Leprechaun 4: In Space) and stars Warwick Davis (from Small Town Folk, Skinned Deep and Leprechaun 6: Back 2 Tha Hood), Caroline Williams (from Ten Minutes to Midnight, Verotika, Bloody Ballet and Blood Feast), Lee Armstrong (from President's Day), and Michael Callan (from Double Exposure, The Cat and the Canary and The Photographer).

Welcome to Vegas... the odds are you won't leave alive!

Leprechaun 3 Review

So, this is the third movie in the Leprechaun series so far and I can already spot a trend emerging. Leprechaun gets obliterated at the end of each movie and just kinda shows up in the next with zero attempt to explain how it happened. In the first Leprechaun he gets burnt to a crisp in the middle of nowhere North Dakota and in Leprechaun 2 he just strolls out of a hole in a tree in the middle of bustling Hollywood. At the end of that one he's blown into a million bits, in this one he just shows up in Vegas ready for a good time.

"Ahhh... lovely golden palaces completely full of riches. I'll rip 'em off and rob 'em blind, those dirty sons of bitches."

There's also this thing about stuff that can hurt him. In the first Leprechaun it was four leaf clovers, they were kryptonite to the little guy. In the second movie it was rod iron that got him. Now in Leprechaun 3 it's none of that stuff, now it's some random amulet and the destroying of his gold.

Oh, he can also bite people and turn them into leprechaun's now, zombie style.

The premise of Leprechaun 3 is a simple one, much like it was in Leprechaun 1. The little guy shows up, someone steals his gold, he goes on a killing spree trying to get it back. There's a lot more victims in this one though thanks to a single gold shilling that goes missing and changes a lot of hands.

"I want my gold shilling. Tell me where it is or there will be another killing!"

In the previous two Leprechaun's all of the characters were good people who were just trying to stay alive. In this one everyone's a scoundrel. Everyone lies, cheats and steals to get what they want. The leprechaun fits right in with this group and it's fun to see all the creative ways he kills each of them off.

Worth Watching?

Yeah I think so. This is the movie that kicks off the wild over-the-top comedy the Leprechaun franchise is known for.
