Director Edgar Wright gave us one of the best and most recognized horror comedies of all time with Shaun of the Dead in 2004. Since then he’s written, produced and directed, most notably the critically acclaimed Baby Driver in 2017 - but save for a segment in Grindhouse in 2007, Shaun of the Dead remains his only horror movie.

A decade later, in an interview with Empire Magazine, Wright states that he is working on an untitled horror film based in London that will star a female lead. Wright will direct and co-write with Krysty Wilson-Cairns, who worked as a staff writer on Penny Dreadful. Shooting will begin this summer.

Wright said that the film will be a psychological thriller, and noted that his influences include Don’t Look Now and Repulsion - an interesting mix, to say the least. We’ll update as more details on the project become available.
