Of course, any new installment in John Carpenter’s iconic Halloween franchise is already cause for some serious excitement, but fans have been especially over the moon in anticipation of this October’s Halloween. It’s not just the eleventh chapter in a series that’s been around since 1978. It’s a direct sequel of the original classic that revisits the original timeline 40 years later.

Understandably, fans are chomping at the bit to see Laurie Strode face off against Michael Myers one last time on Halloween night. With just over a month to go until the film hits theaters and the first signs of fall already in the air, it’s officially time to start celebrating and the release of a new featurette has definitely helped keep the anticipation building. (It hasn’t exactly hurt the social media buzz either.)

The short, sweet, and very shareable documentary features Jamie Lee Curtis, John Carpenter himself, and director David Gordon Green. It treats excited fans to a quick but enlightening look behind the scenes of the upcoming Universal release – just enough to tide them over until the film hits theaters next month. In addition to other fun tidbits, the mini-doc features the now infamous “Babysitter Murders” headline. (Loyal fans may be aware that was the film’s original title before it was decided that the murders should take place on Halloween.) You’ll also catch a few glimpses of the formidable Laurie Strode as she is today, 40 years after surviving the now infamous massacre, and you won’t be disappointed.

In addition to the legendary Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and Nick Castle as Michael Myers, Halloween 2018 stars Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Virginia Gardner, and Judy Greer. Don’t miss it when it slices its way into a theater near you starting October 19, 2018!
