Critic Reviews:

Wyrmwood: Apocalypse is what you’d call a balls-to-the-wall zombie movie, and whilst there’s no real innovation in this one compared to the original film, it does continue the mythos fantastically... The film lives up to the title too. This feels, at times, like we’re witnessing a battle for the end of the world or at least the end of humanity as we know it.

Tim Nagle’s cinematography is once more an impressive, fluid part of proceedings. The brothers Roache-Turner have produced another gory, glorious homage to the golden age of Ozploitation that is more than capable of standing on its own feet as well as being a fun nod to its antipodean cinematic heritage.

What matters most in Ozploitation films, of which this production is a spiritual descendent, is atmosphere and energy: watching them feels like sticking your head out the window of a fast-moving car.
