Summary

Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his son Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant-worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the artic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is to create an antidote from fresh venom — but to do that, someone will have to figure out how to milk a Graboid!

What to Expect

Tremors 6 starts with Burt being the last man standing in Perfection, Nevada. He's running Chang's Market which is the only place still standing. Apparently Jodi, who has been in all the Tremors movies, left to be a lawyer for some reason. So now it's just Burt and Travis hanging out in a market in the middle of nowhere that nobody goes to since the town is abandoned. But maybe this was all written in just to make it easy for Burt to bail, because as soon as he gets a call about a new batch of Graboids in Canada he and Travis hop on the first plane out of town.

Once there Burt learns that a group of glaciologists who were drilling into the ice unearthed an ancient Graboid. At this point it goes in a familiar direction. Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell (Tremors 6 for those who believe in numbered things) offers the franchise’s very first arctic graboids. Arctic graboids are remarkably similar to desert graboids, so fans can rest assured this latest entry will deliver the same goods. It’s a fun change of setting without compromising the monster attacks.

I absolutely love the Tremors franchise. Although there are some duds along the way, the 5th installment stands strong, which gave me hope for the 6th. Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell was pretty much everything I expected.
