Critic Reviews:

The Secret of Sinchanee isn’t a bad film on the level of The Haunting of Hythe House or Amityville Cult, it has several good scenes scattered through it. But they get lost in all the extraneous material and poor plot choices. Grayhm has potential as a filmmaker, but he needs to learn to control his ambition as well as edit his writing and what he shoots.

...The Secret of Sinchanee is a sufficient, well-crafted thriller, and shows that first-time director Steven Grayhm has a lot of promise going forward. The performances, characterizations, and suspenseful filmmaking are admirable, even if the simplistic execution of the story causes the whole to be less than the sum of its parts.

The Secret of Sinchanee is an atmospheric feature debut for this promising Canadian actor/director. I think he’s on his way to creating some great horror in the future; he just needs to be clear in his intentions.
