Rental is certainly entertaining enough to be worth a rental itself, but all of its aspirations to be something beyond that are ineffective and baffling.
In The Rental, the dog is a French Bulldog and it’s brought along to the beach house despite animals not being allowed. However, then no one seems to wonder where the dog is during the entire day. One, this gives me total anxiety since I’m constantly worrying about when something terrible will happen to the dog! And two, it’s sloppy writing and just totally unrealistic.
Well, enjoy those rentals! Dave Franco did an excellent job with this movie. The unknown is the worst. You need to check out The Rental.
