At 140 minutes, the story seems to drag on and you can't take another loud crash, bang or scream. The sound department has done a good job, but has gone a little on the extreme side.
...The Priest has engagement issues here and there. While the transition between the horror and thriller portions isn't great, it's not bad either. Had the quality of writing been equal to the quality of the twists, the film would have been on another level. Nevertheless, the film is shouldered by the twists and the Megastar's swagger-filled performance.
Coming from a debutant, The Priest works in parts, but falls short after some initial promise.
