But in reality, it’s a terrifying series of morality plays reflecting a reality Cundieff wasn’t interested in providing any escape from once the lights went down in the auditorium. Welcome to Hell motherfuckers. You’re living in it.
Though the greater shame is that a chief reason “Tales from the Hood” ages so well is because society isn’t moving fast enough to improve the complex issues the film addresses.
Tales from the Hood is a fun ride. Riding the rails of Tales from the Crypt, Creep Show and Campfire Stories, these stories are fun spooky stories full of a lot of camp.
