This being a throwback to the knockabout antics of 1980s horror, it’s not existentially scary or anything, and the only tension that exists is wondering what wild idea the filmmakers are going to vomit at us next.
Satanic Panic is a bit messy as it attempts to deliver a compelling allegory for younger generations struggling to take over from their elders wrapped up in the trappings of a schlocky horror comedy.
A lot of care has gone into the gory practical effects, many of which are not just gross but creative and funny. Characters die in grotesque and innovative ways.
