Roar (1981)

Summary

Roar follows a family who are attacked by various African animals at the secluded home of their keeper.

Actress Tippi Hedren and director Noel Marshall were married and amassed a menagerie of 150 exotic animals, mostly big cats, on their California preserve, together with their four children. The family filmed this movie independently over eleven years, trying to manage the animals themselves and even performing their own stunts. The crew sustained over 70 injuries worthy of hospitalization over the course of this shoot. The attacks, injuries, and blood in this movie are all real.
