Critic Reviews:
To be fair, it’s somewhat different than most slashers of the age, at least in the sense that there’s an entire brood of psychos out to terrorize oblivious interlopers.
The main problem I had with the film was that its most entertaining scenes seemed to be that way accidentally.
Admittedly, part of the joy of MIDNIGHT is its slightly dog-eared nature. The performances range from bug-eyed to manic to broad – and over theatric acting by much of the cast just adds to the charm (especially from Nancy and the two students).
