Critic Reviews:

In Mad Love, passion is everything. Those who carry it to extremes lose their sanity and those who sublimate it don't fare much better. Whether or not you choose to take such a theme at face value, Mad Love's exploration of it should not be missed.

Over the years, Mad Love has developed a reputation as something approaching a work of forgotten genius. Really, it’s nowhere near that good, but it is highly entertaining, and by watching it, you’ll get to see Peter Lorre in the role that would haunt him for the rest of his career.

..Mad Love is concerned not with hands but with souls, and whether some of a murderer’s strength and character and evil can be grafted onto another.
