Clocking in 80 minutes, the film still feels a tad long for the simple narrative it offers, but moments of visual ingenuity and a deep understanding of psychological suspense show that Kempff is one to watch.
...Knocking is a superior thriller with a great central performance and some excellent cinematography. It’s also a chance to see a genre film that isn’t centred around a bunch of high school/college students or an improbably hot MILF next door.
There is a stillness with this movie. Frida does an amazing job directing. The pace of the film moves a little more. Molly is just frazzled and they do try to lock her up again. Cecilia Milocco does a great job of portraying Molly. She gives her depth, compassion, and you can tell she was pushed to the brink playing this character.
