Critic Reviews:

Under the always inventive Cohen’s hand, It Lives Again is one of those few occasions when a sequel expands upon the themes of its predecessor rather than merely parrots what has gone before.

There are obvious references to the abortion dilemma here, and Cohen does a wonderful job in relaying the complexities involved with "playing God" and deciding whether one has a right to terminate human life under certain criteria.

It Lives Again just doesn’t seem to push It’s Alive further and it feels like it should. The movie is a circular movie with the beginning resembling the ending and the whole movie just feels oddly like the first film because of how it ends.
