What to Expect

Intruder has a very simple premise: Slasher in a grocery store. But you'd be surprised at how well it works. It's a small location with a lot of rooms, nooks and crannies. It's kind of like a house from a movie set perspective, but being in a grocery store makes it special. Every room is industrial and made to supply each department. This means you have a butcher room with lots of knives and bone saws, a produce department with lots of knives, a stock room with hydraulic box smashers. What I'm saying is there's a lot of ways to slash in a grocery store. Add to that the fact that everyone in this place is doing their own job, at night, meaning they're all comfortable being isolated and strange sounds don't raise any attention. It's a calm and relaxing environment that turns chaotic and bloody real quick. Intruder oozes nostalgia. And blood. Lots and lots of blood, if you get your hands on Sam Raimi's directors cut.
