...Hideout is a damn fine film that really only needs a bit tighter of an edit. Like much of the cast Roselli came into this with only a few short films for experience and came out of it with an impressive first feature.
Hideout is dark, dramatic and angsty; a crime drama filled with scowls and sighs and tense moments between characters. However, the horror and suspense are the definition of slow burning. [...] You’re going to need to buckle down and enjoy the story before you get to the scary parts.
I really enjoyed Hideout. It’s suspenseful, ferocious, and aptly directed by Kris Roselli. The film provides you with a good idea of where it’s going immediately but creates a twisty good time in its route to the end.
