Summary

Presumed dead after a shoot-out with the Haddonfield police, Michael Myers is secretly nursed back to health -- and returns a year later to kill again and once more targets his young niece, Jamie. Jamie is now recovering in the local children's hospital after attacking her stepmother and losing her voice. Her mental link with her evil uncle may be the key to uprooting her family tree.

What to Expect

Halloween 5 came out only one year after Halloween 4 and picks up seamlessly where it left off, just like Halloween 2 did for Halloween 1. At the end of part 4 they tried to shoot Myers before blowing him up, again, even though it didn't work the first two times. And it didn't work this time either.

The movie starts off with Jamie, Myers' niece, freaking out in the children's mental hospital (she got locked up for killing her mom just like Myers did his sister). She started freaking out the moment Myers recovered from his injuries, she apparently has a direct psychic connection with him now. It's a good thing though because she knows when Myers is near and can help people stay a step ahead of him.

Unlike Halloween's 1, 2 and 4, Halloween 5 is its own unique story. It's the first sequel in the franchise (other than Season of the Witch) that pushed the plot in a new direction. It feels more like a fun 80's slasher than just another Halloween sequel.
