I feel if the running time was a little longer, EXORCISM wouldn’t feel as crammed as it does. What results is rushed, shaky cam found footage, packed full of horror tropes and offering little in the way of originality.
Sadly, EXORCISM fails to offer up anything new to the audience. It never once tries to break the mold and even with its ridiculously short runtime, it takes far too long to get anywhere.

In spite of its very obvious flaws, there's an admirable sense of energy to Exorcism, which plays more like a really (really) low-budget version of The Evil Dead than the obvious likes of Paranormal Activity or The Blair Witch Project.
