Critic Reviews:

[Choose or Die is] a strangely dull film, at least until the final act, which finally gets truly weird in a captivating way (MVP Eddie Marsan, of course). At least the movie has a banging score by Liam Howlett of Prodigy that also places it in the techno-heavy horror era of the '80s. Still, you’d be wise to just choose to watch "Videodrome" again instead.

...beneath this terror-filled glimpse of the '80s lies not much more than a bog-standard horror flick. The scares are soon replaced with a meandering plot that doesn’t quite know what it’s doing, held together with obscure twists that would only make sense in a low-budget retro text adventure.

If the screenplay for Choose or Die was a game of Tetris, it would be a collection of mismatched blocks stacked together with no rhyme, reason or coherent strategy. They form a rudimentary straight line and the game’s over quickly because nothing about the way it was put together makes sense. And crucially, it’s not much fun to play the game in that manner.
