Ultimately, Between the Trees leaves its audience scratching their heads. The film never quite figures out what it wants to be. A creature feature? A slasher? Funny? Heartbreaking? Who knows?
This is one hell of a fine fright flick that’ll make you want to stay far away from the wicked woods for years to come!
Fans of Cabin in the Woods-type horror should definitely check this one out, if not for the refreshing twist on the set-up, than for the freaky looking backwoods mutant guys.
