Clown is bloody, violent and frightening with only a sprinkling of comic relief. The movie starts light, then gets a bit mysterious and funny before finally turning dark and frightening. It's known for being one of the best clown movies in horror.
A wild animal attacks six medical students on a weekend hike in the woods. One by one, they become infected with a "feral disease", turning them into rabid, bloodthirsty creatures, and the vacation becomes a nightmare as they fight to survive each other.
Lights Out was originally based off a Swedish short film which was directed by and features a couple of the same minds behind the short. It's about a malicious demon attached to a woman, who constantly terrifies her daughter, both as a girl and now as an adult. The movie preys on nyctophobia, a fear of the dark. Session 9 creates suspense and dread primarily through a combination of old creepy psychiatric recordings of a young girl with multiple personalities and of increasingly disturbing flashbacks of the very recent past. There are enough twists and turns to make this a truly intriguing mind bender.
As a bonus we have a good comedy horror with a spider. But not just any spider, a Big Ass Spider! (2013). Is it cheesy? A little bit, yes. But the acting is good and the connection between the main character and his sidekick is fluid and works really well. Hope you enjoy!
