List by allhorrorRingu is the original Japanese horror movie that was later rebooted as The Ring in the United States. Ringu was a huge smash hit in Japan and actually kick-started the global J-horror craze that continues to this day. Ringu featured Sadako, that creepy girl in the white gown with long stringy hair who crawls out of TV screens scaring people to death. I just finished watching all of The Ring movies, starting with the original Ringu from 1998 followed by both Japanese sequels and all American remakes. Here's how I rank them from best to worst.
